Reveal: Striped Boys Room
Leave a commentHappy 100th post!
I have been crazy busy at work the past few weeks and only found time to shoot my boys’ room over the long weekend. I’m extremely relieved that our renovations are over. I think this room turned out well, don’t you?
We reupholstered the couch and ottoman. Couch fabric is from Larry’s Curtains and the ikat print fabric is from Printemps. This Pottery Barn-esque trundle bed was previously Little Ms. M’s and it got a fresh coat of paint for the boys.
This gallery wall has a Father and Son theme. Clockwise from left, Manolette and Matteo by Francis Nacion; Boy with Violin by Roel Obemio; My Papa and Me by Little Mr. M; Father and Son by Gerrico Blanco; Center is Journey to Neverland by Gerrico Blanco. I LOVE the clever juxtaposition of the “trumpo” and Beyblade painting by Gerrico. My husband played with a similar top when he was a kid and nowadays my two boys play with Beyblades! I’m looking for a letter M to put on top of the center painting. Do you know where I can get one?
Custom made laminate bookshelves and study tables. Tables’ height are 28” inches from the floor, the standard desk height for adults. I want my boys to grow with these tables and continue to use them until high school!
Little Mr. M Jr’s area. & sign was purchased from Bo Concept, Shangrila. This was my son’s high chair purchased from SM Department Store. We are temporarily using it until we can find suitable work chairs that are tall enough for them! Striped painting is by MM Yu. Boys’ name paintings were made by me in a futile attempt to be an artist!
Little Mr. M’s area. Striped painting is by MM Yu. Framed abstract painting on the right was by Little Mr. M. He “painted” that when he was 2 and half years old!
Ivan Acuna’s abstract was a Christmas gift from a good friend, Atty. Ferdie Menguito. Thanks Ferds! Automoblox and Lego art caddy from Toy Kingdom.
Little Mr. M’s abstract is a colorful backdrop to this wooden zebra. L found this for my boys. Thanks L!
I’m glad that my boys finally have a room that is playful and fun and will work whether they are 6 or 16.
