Last Wednesday, we were fortunate to have been invited by sisters Pin and Jack of Archipelago Home to check out their gorgeous store and beautiful new collection. To say we went crazy would be an understatement. Everywhere we looked, expertly curated home accessories were styled to a T, making one long to purchase pretty much the whole vignette. Aside from the items being carefully chosen, they were also very well priced. Pin and Jack believe that great style doesn’t need to cost an arm and a leg. Archipelago Home’s customers appreciate great design but also know how to stretch their decorating budget. Basically, their target market is us. Haha!
After carefully combing through the entire store, it ONLY took me 2 hours to decide (LOL), I finally chose 3 key pieces that I believed would add luxe texture, timelessness and whimsy to our home.
1.Velvet throw pillow. The easiest way to transform a space is by changing up the textiles. Adding new prints or colors instantly update a couch. In this case, I picked up a pair of pale gold throw pillows (with the help of C) that match the yellows from the paintings. Their super soft texture and sheen were a great bonus as they added just the right amount of richness, perfect for the upcoming holiday season.
2. Marble Tic Tac Toe Board. Recently, I’ve been very conscious of the pieces I purchase and bring home. I really think long and hard if it will add value or just clutter to our lives. The Tic Tac Toe set instantly caught my eye. Aside from being really beautiful to look at, I knew the boys would enjoy playing with it as well.
3. Brass Hourglass. Classic, timeless with a hint of masculine appeal, this brass hourglass was a great addition to our shelf.
It doesn’t take a lot to add personality and breathe new life into a space, a few well thought out pieces go a long way. Oh and a super duper chic store like Archipelago Home where you pretty much can’t go wrong sure helps!
