Currently Obsessed with : Minnie Mortimer’s Home
Leave a commentMinnie Mortimer, fashion designer (she makes the best shirt dresses!), wife to screenwriter/film maker Stephen Gaghan (Traffic) and mom to probably the coolest 4 year old on the planet Tutu (short for Tuesday) opened her Malibu doors to Vogue and what was inside was nothing short of awesome.
Digging the informal entryway. According to Minnie, all the flowers displayed in her home are from their garden.
Gallery wall obsession! I love the eclectic arrangement of pieces collected over the years.
The skateboard photo is just too cool. I also like the idea of using an ordinary table as a side table.
Library + Dining= double duty room. The midcentury modern chairs make a nice contrast against the antique, weathered table.
This is how you do shelves. Each layer is jam-packed with books devoured by Minnie’s husband.
The sun room is where Minnie and Tutu hangout and play before officially starting their day.
They store board games in these vintage moogrammed briefcases— such a genious idea!
Tutu’s play area. I need that teepee. NEED.
The lady of the house’s dressing room. The hardwood floors look great against the bright blue wall.
The laidback, casual atmosphere of her house is something that I’d like to replicate in our own home.
