C and Amelia bonding over a love for silver shoes!

We first met Ria and darling Amelia during the store opening of L’Indochine. They were one of our first and also our last customers of the day! Ria spotted our pumpkin pouffe at the window and kept on coming back to look at it. Right before closing, they decided to bring it home– home being San Francisco!!

Here’s a brief background on Ria, we’re pretty sure you’ll love her as much as we do after reading this:

Ria Faust is the woman behind Sugarcane– a line of toddler clothes woven on antique looms designed for mini globetrotters. Her collection is in partnership with Anthill Fabric Gallery which is promotes indigenous textiles from the Philippines.

She’s also the author of Sugarcane Life blog, a curated account of creative projects, travel and adventures with a toddler. There you’ll find Amelia’s globetrotting photos, their travel finds and flashbacks to the cutest hallooween costume ever! Be warned– you will spend HOURS reading her blog!

On one such occasion (blog reading) We stumbled across her post about Amelia’s room. We seriously swooned!! It is such a fun, well-edited, lovingly decorated space! Items bought from travels all over pepper her bright happy room. Artwork from cousins, quilts made by family and a mad mix of prints, patterns and textures all come together to form a room that delights and inspires.
