Is it just me or has it been extra chilly these past couple of days? Lately, I find myself hanging out in the living room enjoying the cool breeze glass of wine at hand. When the air gets a bit too cold for comfort, I grab a throw and lay it over my legs. I’ve been a fan of throws for quite sometime, ( okay truth: ever since I read The Perfectly Imperfect Home where Deborah Needleman proclaimed it as a must-have for every home!)

Throws not only add a lovely bit of texture, pattern and color to a room, but they make your home inviting and comfortable as well.

We like using thick cotton throws with subtle patterns and neutral colors since our home is already a hodgepodge of colors and prints. We usually have throws ready and waiting on our couches and the armchair in our room.

L’Indochine’s Kalasim throws are handmade by farmers in Thailand. When the harvest season is over, they concentrate their efforts ito weaving textiles for blankets, throws, rugs and pillows. Made of 100% cotton and colored using natural dyes, these throws are not only beautiful but functional as well.

While brainstorming for fun and fresh ideas to spruce up the home, we encountered several washi tape projects that got us all giddy and excited. We shared two our favorites in Smart Parenting– covered light switches and DIY gallery wall type frames.

We couldn’t put all of our favorites in the column so we’re  posting them here. Brace yourselves,  you just might end up washifying everything— we know we would! -C&L
